Samoan Fa'alautalinga Club
The crescent headed Samoan Fa'alautalinga or eared club is about 29 1/2 inches long. The head is 7 7/8" wide and is 2 1/4" thick at the center. The lime inlay is mostly gone and the coconut sennit cord is gone except for a small knotted piece. The heavy hardwood club's head has a small chip to the pointed underside of one ear as well as a crack running 9 1/2" on one side of the head and 3 1/4" on the opposite side of the head along the central raised ridge. The Samoan club looks like an early to mid 20th century example.
