Aboriginal Western Desert Boomerang Ex - Bill Jamieson / Niagara Falls Museum
This Australian Aboriginal Fighting or Hunting Boomerang with stone adze markings covering it's top and bottom sides is from the Western Desert area. There is a stable crack at one end with minor loss on the boomerang's underside by the same crack. The finely crafted hardwood piece measures just under 24" in length. Formerly in the collection of Canadian Ethnographic Dealer/Collector Bill Jamieson. His Niagara Falls Museum inventory label is still attached to the topside at one end.
