Philippine Dual Chambered Bowl Ex - Armand Labbe Collection
This 15 1/2" long Philippine bowl appears to be a type of Patiw (food bowl) and is carved from a light colored hardwood. and has beautiful patination around the exterior as well as the interior of the smaller receptacle. The bottom has a crisscrossed double linear pattern running down the center. The rear of the longer receptacle has a shallow rim crack and a few hairline cracks in the interior. This piece was formerly in the collection of the late Armand Labbe of the Bowers Museum of Santa Ana, California.
